it's a very good version... the best version (imho) was from Harry Connick Jr., but i cannot find it anywhere on the internet... i once had it on my mp3 and listened to it accidentally, now it's gone :-(

My dad was named Danny after this song, I played it for him on my phone today and he told me it always bring tears to his eyes, Both of his parents have passed away and i know the lyrics in this song completely describe his relationship with his parents, especially his father. . Listening to this song and watching my father be so moved by it, it brought tears to my eyes as well. I just want to say that this is the best verions of this song i've ever heard. This song will always be special to me.

This version is incredible. My grandfather was irish and I searched high and low a few years ago to find the perfect version for his funeral. This was it. This was exactly as he sung it and how he would like to hear it. So you can search the earth far and wide but you will not come up with a better version no matter how hard you search. Thanks to the post who put it up. It's a rare version to find.

Over the past few weeks I have been listening to many, many versions of this song, from choirs to Elvis to Celtic Woman, and this, by far, is my hands down favorite. Rich and pure, not pretentious or forced in any way. Exactly the way I imagine it should be sung. Absolutely beautiful.
