@SamildanachEmrys I always thought that myself. I didn't get as into Farscape in it's initial run because of it. I'd watched the Tales From a Parallel Universe movies on Showtime. When it became Lexx on Sc-Fi, and then I saw another living spaceship show not long afterward, I disregarded Farscape as a more child friendly, muppets in space version of Lexx. It took me well into the 2nd season of Lexx before I really payed attention and accepted it as something markedly different.

It's interesting (to me) to look at parallels between this and the more obscure (plus more silly and far more patchy) Lexx. Living ship, bondage-themed evil empire, agent of the empire gone rogue, a new rising threat threat to the whole universe (Scarrans/Mantrid drones), wormholes/fractal cores...
I'm not suggesting that Farscape ripped off the slightly earlier Lexx, just that it's interesting to see similarities and differences between two cult series that started around the same sort of time
