The Age of Oppression (Cover)

My cover of the Skyrim song, 'The Age of Oppression'. After all, what kind of a bard would I be if I didn't sing the occasional bard song?

In case anyone's curious, I'm not that staunch of a Stormcloak supporter. But the Empire gives the Thalmor pretty free reign, and I hate those guys. Plus, Talos helps refresh the ol' thu'ums faster, and he's kind of gotten the short end under the current regime.

So yeah.. I'm not so much 'pro Ulfric' as I am 'anti Empire'.

Btw, I hate the Empire but at the same time; I don't trust Ulfric. The Empire had failed and should be destroyed then remade with a ruler of the Dragon Blood. At the same time, Ulfric is more only for the Nords and he is very racist guy.

@jusey1 - That about sums up my thoughts on the matter. In my mind, Ulfric is merely the lesser of two evils. He's a great option if you happen to be a Nord and believe strongly in their way of life.. but when playing a Breton, my choice to support him was largely to do with his anti-Thalmor policy. After the immediate threat of Alduin, the -real- enemy is bound to be the Altmeri Dominion.. and the Empire isn't exactly doing mankind any favours by giving the Thalmor such free rein.

@Det0n8ted - Hooded mantle, worn over top of a short-sleeved tunic. No glitter involved anywhere, but the trim on the mantle has a metallic cast to it.

@Anthraxinternational - Indeed. Unfortunately, however, the nobility in Solitude don't take too kindly to bards that sing anti-Empire songs. Right after I played this song in a concert at The Winking Skeever, a guard came up to me, looked me right in the eye, and said, "I used to be a bard like you.. then I took an arrow in the knee". That's when I noticed the other guard by the door who was fingering his longbow and glaring at me.

So now I play in Windhelm.

@BardMichaelKelly Hm. I do like Ulfric's racism toward Dunmer. I play as an Argonian and if you know the relationship between the Dunmer and Argonian in the lore; you should know why I like Ulfric's racism toward them.
