  • on 25-30 meters deep water

  • are they using New Cod-Approved hooks?

  • @PigsCanFly99

The hooks are from Mustad in Norway

  • What do they put on the hooks to catch the fish?

  • Herring, Squid, Mackerel.

  • Longlining is Bullshit because of all the by catch and all the non targeted fish that are killed

  • Sure?

  • Why can't you get another occupation ? I like that ! Why can't you quit helping to pollute the waters we fish in ? Fisherman don't want another occupation ! I chose this one and im sticking with it until the gov. takes it from me. Maybe by then the economy will fail and you'll be begging fisherman for food where you'll be given a boot across the left side of your face.

    LOL LOL LOL

  • get me in there with a 14 fathom rockhopper ain't no time for this spitting out hooks shit.

  • @prockdahouse no i dont agree with you,at least you have a fair chance of releasing the fish back alive when using longline, thats not the case when netfishing, because the nets kill everything that gets in it,including seabirds and sometime seals

  • towards the end when that white stuff was on the sea bed? were the Cod feeding on it? and if so what was it? wicked video by the way

  • Have these fish you're trying to catch already spawned? I'm no expert but it would probably be a good idea to let them spawn first due to falling stocks...

  • @prockdahouse who gives a fuck about by catch yea if ur fishing for skate and pollock and snapers then ok get on a trawler dip shit

  • @prockdahouse just thought id let u know..

  • @prockdahouse youre thinkin of surface longlining for swordfish...and what u said is true for surface longlining but not for cod longlining....its called bottom longlining and the only bycatch is dogfish which are released alive.....u are right about surface longlining but not bottom longlining

  • Great footage!

I always wondered what my set looked like underwater- thank you

I am truly amazed how many fish hit baits without hooking up. Interesting that the baits stayed on too

Are they in line circle hooks?

  • Unjustifiable.

  • nice vid.. yummm!!!!

  • what kind of CRAP HOOKS are these they are spitting out ????? I have used commercial mustad hooks my whole life and they HOOK & HOLD !!!!

I sure don't want any of these hooks
