@fAtbAstUrd350 Also a skill gap is exaggerated in the score due to the nature of duel, hence why a player can beat someone who isn't much worse than them by quite a large margin.

@XtraXtable Quake 4 is very different to quakelive, even quake 3 is different to quakelive. It's not a good idea to compare them. Watch the suggested video ESL Classics: Rapha vs. Cooller, it'll show you that having full control doesn't mean you'll dominate the game. It's not a high scoring match, which you might construe as boring, though I do get what you mean by that, as some games are, really that's more down to how safe the players are playing.

@fAtbAstUrd350 I have watched alot more games than I have played. And I am nowhere near even Skullus skill. But it is either a buring slow game with ppl playing like chickens or it is one sided. The finals between fatal1ty and Toxic in quake 4 (the game play/tactics are nor very diffrent) all were like 10 - 8 OR 30 - 3 depending on map. Toxic got destroyed on one map and then he destroyed Fatal1ty. the diffrence is huge just from map to map.

@XtraXtable Well firstly skyllus is far from pro. As for the game it's self, clearly you don't play or understand duel as there's so many different factors to why someone is winning. If you claim it to be random, how come the top players are consistently winning tournaments. Also there are lots of comebacks, you just need to watch good players against each other, not like this. Just watch any of the top players out of control and you'll get what I mean.

Even between pro´s many games are one sided like this. That is what makes many ppl claim that quake is not a sport. its to random. If two players are equally good, the first spawn locations can predict the outcome of the match (due to item timeing.) Altough there have been some comebacks they are rare.

I'm pretty sure Skyllus was a top GoW 2 pro.... Maybe he's trying to make the switch. It's understandable that he gets destroyed by rapha.
