This is a brief, but solid effort . . . well done

@cappin9 Apparently four psychotic sociopaths like the idea of killing a famous person using Catcher In The Rye as an excuse. JD Salinger didn't create one fictional phony that was that desperate for fame...I don't get it.

ajvitcav - At 0:52 you state that the "The New Yorker", the magazine which would go on to publish everyone single one of his pieces of fiction."
This statement could not further from the truth,
Salinger's stories were also published by the "Saturday Evening Post", "Colliers", "Esquire", and Whit Burnett's "Story" magazine..
Not only is your posting shallow and pedestrian, it is also factually incorrect.
Do yourself a favor and take it down!

@willmarkley Yeah, agreed. His voice is mad annoying. And the report is so basic. I'd imagine any fan of Salinger already knew these things. Well, I suppose maybe for someone just getting into him, or someone who just read Catcher and doesn't really know about the guy, this would be helpful.

J.D. Salinger served in the 4th Infantry division during World War II and was part of the memorable Normandy landing at Utah before working in the Intelligence division.

it would be cool if they had a tv interview when his book came out

There there everyone. The Satan and God are really on the same side. They laugh at humanity together.

Let's not forget Ayn Rand. Atlas Shrugged movie trailer on youtube.
The speakers voice grosses me out... Sounds like he just smoked a joint and then drank a glass of milk... Nasty cotton mouth
