i hav an old kohler generator posably from the 60s the engin is made of solid cast iron made in america , none of that chinease aluminum bull crap . it is capable of prodcing 120 volts at 25 amps single phase. some of the brushes are 90%shot but ill hav a video of this in the future running under a small load

  • @windoes98se I wish I did know where to get the brushes as I chipped one when i first got the generator. maybe a local motor shop could make some.. My model is 3mm25 and has the K181 engine on it. I did noticed one strange thing about mine. if it sits for along time it won't make any power at first. then it just kicks in and starts generating electricty. some times it takes a few minutes somtimes it starts making power right away..
