It seems that I'm yet to learn from my past mistakes - at the first official NSWRA launch I've attended since the club's collapse 4 years ago, I managed to lose a model I'd had since that time on its first and only flight - an unfortunate mixture of an enigine that was too powerful, a parachute that was too big, even if it didn't fully deploy, and an unwelcome gust of wind, all in all bearing a striking resemblance to the incidentin which I lost Thunderbird 1 (Nemesis). Spent over an hour wading through chest high grass looknig for it, braving spiders, snakes, and crossing two creeks. In any case, the takeoff was flawless, a sight to behold, and perhaps I'll be able to do a better paint job on her replacement.
Rest In Peace, Black Brant II.
