simple.... and by the way, being the 4th most powerful nation on earth... he has no real choice to show a fondness.. Saying that, I don't believe in the special relationship, we choose to follow the US as it suits our needs and our interests converge most of the time... quite selfish of us really.

Does it really matter? he is the President of the United States, he holds a US passport, it's not his fault if he once held some sort of British overseas citizens rights, or even if he still has claims to or eligible for a British passport.
He is by any real means American, his family on his mother's side was from England, so are most Americans, look at your History.
There is nothing wrong with being British, ask me, he is NOT British, in some ways he probably has fondness for the UK.
