Not a good recording. I've seen them at Ronnie Scott's (and will see them again in a couple of weeks time!) and they are amazing. Monty is the 'George Clooney' of the jazz world - so cool - even looks likes him I reckon (Google some pics of him).

At the Dakota . Hassan's bass doesn't sound right. The extreme cold there must have had an effect on it. We were there; Monty, as usual, was fantastic. He was last here with John Clayton, subbing for the late Ray Brown. What a performance that was. The Dakota brings in the best.
