I think Lazenby was good Bond. He had potential to be one of the best 007. What a shame he made only one movie. Btw OHMSS is fantastic bond-movie and Telly Savalas best Blofeld.

    best actor? NO!

    best music? possibly

villian? Yes, but I wanted Donald Pleasance back

ending? one of the best, yeah, but kind of a cliffhanger, right?

This movie was NOT a financial failure. It is unfairly maligned just because Connery took a break and audiences were not ready for a more human, existential hero. I have seen all the Bond films (and Never Say Never Again), and this film has the best actor, music, villains, and ending of them all.

He's what Fleming wanted. Cubby & Harry F'd it up. They skewed every other Bond novel, & should've done that with this one-wanted focus on 1 true love that James has. Young fans don't/won't like the film b/c they never read the novels & + no gadgets. Lazenby's film will be better remembered than Living Daylights because the storyline has tentacles that linger-remember opening salvo to Diamonds or For Your Eyes Only? All go back to Lazenby's ending. And Telly did the best Blofeld by the way.

I love how they really rammed it home that this Bond film was "Different".
