On April 1, 2010 the Theta Eta chapter at American University co-hosted the US Armed Forces Wheel Chair Basketball Game with the US Olympic Military Program.
The team from the Walter Reed Army Medical Center took on San Antonio's Brooke Army Medical Center at Bender Arena in an thrilling and inspiring game of wheelchair basketball. Veterans athletes participating in the game were being treated for severe wounds suffered in Iraq and Afghanistan.
During halftime, Pi Kappa Phi CEO Mark E. Timmes took on Pi Kappa Phi alumnus General Tom Carter, Gamma Delta (Memphis), in a wheelchair basketball shootout. Check out this fun video put together by the chapter to see who was victorious: The CEO or The General.
