At SES Toronto 2008, Lee Odden and Dave Snyder talk about Twitter's benefits for marketers and individual users. Lee Odden, CEO of TopRank Online Marketing, and Dave Snyder, search strategist and marketer for JRDunn, spoke today on the panel ""Twitter: Ultimate Time Waster, or Great Tool?"" Snyder pushed forward the idea that Twitter qua Twitter is not a useful or useless thing but that the way in which it's used determines its usefulness; and Odden, while dismissing its professional usefulness for users, pointed to the data mining uses it provides marketers.

My vote is both - but it is how you use it!
Some folks believe it is better to have good following on twitter then it is to have people subscribed to newsletters, emails, etc. They are claims of it converting better.
I personally think is could be an awesome tool for night club promoters and event promoters. Especially since it really is a mobile texting application.

Lee is right, I've been trying Twitter, if they can improve their breakdown time, with all the cool add on tools it could be really great
