the wave vibration function may be interpreted differently by countless sentient creatures in the same 'forest' all deriving/ degenerating from the one first cause initial sound wave vibration function.
so none of the creatures really hear the true sound wave, because they do not hear what the countless other sentient creatures interpret and hear/ are aware of.
the ultimate holon/ divine may experience the true wave, as it encompasses all in all and remains omnipresent, omnipotential awareness

I didn't mean to say reason was the cause of madness, but that madness is a degeneration of reason. There are obviously many causes for madness that i could make reference to... Drugs, trauma etc... Excuse me if i wasn't clear about that.

Ok, philosophicaly, I can see what you're saying about consciousness.
You're more or less on the right track, but I would advise not to think reason is the only cause to madness. This is what I meant by looking at the situation, there are other causes to madness as well.

Well to answer your question on how I know the tree that fell made a sound.. well sound is registered from vibration. Vibration comes from atoms, molecules, etc, 'bumping' each other. If a tree fell it must have bumped air particles, at the very least, causing vibration no matter how miniscule.
Ah, I see your argument. I guess it's not a sound until it is registered as one, it does however make a vibration. I suppose I overlooked the definition of a sound.

Is it a sound if it isn't heard? Its a conundrum. You say of course it did, but how do you know? Just like the double slit experiment, perhaps observation changes the outcome on some level. As far as the car crash, your brother was there,so it was observed specifically. The question is not ,"do things happen beyond our awareness?"it is,"how does our awareness effect everything?" If there was no one to be aware of everything, nothing would be.Reality is a concept of conscious self aware being.

Well, I believe reason to madness in the sense that some people become mad or loose their mind... I CONJECTURE that consciousness is ultimately responsible for gravity, and that without it there would be no concept of real. Now the term consciousness is for lack of a better word, self aware being may also work. Also consciousness in the philosophical sense not in the specific scientific sense. See Zen Buddhism, Taoism, Socrates, etc. There is a lot more to it then what I spoke about here.

Alright. Well let's start with the tree.
It falls in the forest. No one is around to hear it. Did it make a sound? Of course it did. Nobody may have been near to percieve or hear the sound, but it happened.
Just because my brother crashed in a car and I wasn't around to see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I may not know until after. But the fact of the matter is that it happened. Regardless of the absence of our senses.
Take the situation for what it is, and not just an event.

I have to look at the situations to know them and then bring consideration into them... Maybe I don't understand what you mean.

You take consideration into events, when you should look at the situations.
