Rock Point Provincial Park is set amidst a wonderful Carolinian forest with over 600 metres of beautiful sandy beach on the shores of Lake Erie. A trail system leads along the top of a lakeside bluff, through fields and into a Carolinian Woodlot. Viewing platforms overlook Lake Erie and nearby Mohawk Island and lighthouse. The closest town is Dunnville, on the Grand River with a population of 12,000. Visit http://www.romwell.com/travel/advisory/index.shtml for more info...

I was going to go to Rock Point.
This has changed my mind.
#1, it looks like black tar seaweed on the shore line.
#2, Bird on the beach-to crap all over the place and for swimmer's to walk on
#3, The water is mucky.
#4, The wind and undertow would be remarkable.
I have a great place on Lake Erie, where water sparkles and there is no waves like that-even on a windy day. BUT, you will have to find it.
