At a time when Death Row was considering signing the Convicts they were also considering signing Chocolate. Chocolate's music career goes way back. His first major commercial success was ghost writing "Ice Ice Baby" for Vanilla Ice. Chocolate was never paid adequately for the song, that is why Suge Knight held Vanilla Ice over a balcony one controversial evening, to extort payment to Chocolate. At the time Suge was Chocolate's manager. That's why Suge was considering making Chocolate an inmate. "Niggas Is Like That" was recorded on Death Row in 1992. This happened often. Potential inmates would make songs before they were signed, in preperation for when they were signed. Chocolate later released an album "Life-n-a-Day" off of Death Row on Ghetto Life Records (so excuse the "Crime Life Records" in the video = mistake) in 1993 and featured this song. The album is out of print and a bit hard to find. This song is a great example of what Snoop Dogg's mythical first album "Over The Counter" was like. It featured alot of artists who's Death Row career never really took off (D.O.C, RBX, Convicts, Chocolate, etc.).

Produced by Chocolate.
