I took a trip when from Springfield Illinois to Kansas City Missouri on the Anne Rutlidge in early spring 1998.

I start out with a view out the back vestibule of the cafe Car. Then, we come into Jefferson City, the state capitol of Missouri. The capitol building comes into view first, then the train stops at the depot, which is on the historic landing, a museum area where Jefferson City began. Then, as the train goes east out of town, we pass the Missouri Pacific depot, which is a major crew change point for the Union Pacific on this line.
