I like what your saying and doing. For so long I've thought the same way about 8yrs. I've used the costume/uniform idea. Which is one person dressed like Batman is just a nut wearing a costume. A 100 nuts wearing a Batman costume it becomes a uniform. Now that its a uniform these nuts get to order you around.

@sedwrzwsr Sadly, there is a very real example of the Batman costume thing: when a kid hears everyone saying, "That guy at the mall wearing red and white is Santa," he usually believes it. Then he grows up, and is told, "That guy wearing blue isn't just a person, but is a magical thing called 'authority,' and you have to obey him." And they believe it. The difference is, with Santa, we're eventually told it was a lie. What I do is tell people that the second one is a lie, too.

Problem would be the nearby island with a government. Is it possible to co exsist with government? It would seem from government is pretty relentless once it becomes aware of someone who doesn't want to join the program. So even if you were to ignore a government into disappearing, wouldn't the nieghboring government just move in.

@sedwrzwsr Okay, so add a nearby island, with head-hunters on it, into the equation. THEN what would you do? Beg for someone to force you to fund and support their idea of defense? Or would you just let the head-hunters eat you, because there weren't any politicians and guys with badges around to save you? If there was an outside threat, would your first thought be, "Hey, we need someone on our island who bosses us around and takes what we produce!"? I'm guessing it wouldn't be.

Your right. But what is the alternative? How are roads and bridges built? What about disputes between people? Where would those who violate the rights of others be kept or tried? Wouldn't we just be replacing government with government? What about lawyers and politicans would they just go away?

@sedwrzwsr If you want to know the answer to your questions, imagine being on a desert island, with a hundred or so people. No one is "in charge." There is no "government" and no "authority." Just people. So, what would YOU do? How would YOU deal with various challenges and situations? Would you find ways to cooperate and organize voluntarily with others? Or would you, and everyone else, just sit there feeling helpless, because no one was telling everyone what to do?

@eddiehaskell7 Between having tantrums, maybe you should try opening your eyes and ears occasionally. The video is not complaining about people being rich. I have no problem whatsoever with people who get rich through VOLUNTARY means. The video is about those who produce no wealth, but rob and extort productive people.

This video is true "IF" people are educated as to the facts on how their government has screwed them. I have condensed my info for about 10 years. Most people can learn what I know in a few weeks (or maybe months if they are lazy).

@LarkenRose My point is that you used a bad analogy--that you should not compare the government to a group of carjackers and murderers because they are completely different things. Unless you think that the gang is run by carjackers and murderers, which is a completely different story and very different from anything you have suggested so far.
