  • @partyman6666 Oh yeah... thanks just seen it!

  • @4crevis Passenger's side A-pillar. You can see it in the video.... it gets submerged just before the guy pops out the window and climbs onto the roof.

  • knob

  • Where is the air intake on these things...? I was trying to see if it had a snorkel!

  • @noscopesnipa You might wanna read the whole thread next time - it had been pointed out a dozen times that he cut the engine before the snorkel went under.

As for the fuel mixing in the carbs - that still wouldn't contaminate the fuel lines. And if the fuel mixed with water and got into the cylinders, it'd be hydrolocked - at which point it's 95% likely a new engine is required.

As for the electrics, the car would have stalled the moment the engine was underwater if they weren't waterproofed.

  • @MudBarf

i didnt know he switched off the engine, if he hadnt then you would have to do the stuff i said,

and yes the tank is airtight, but if water got into the snorkel then into the carb, it would mix with the fuel coming from the jets and contaminate it to the point where it wont start the car, and the electronics would have shorted out and stop the car starting unless they had been waterproofed, im guessing it was a carbed engine, not electronic injection
