Its interesting that as you are in the granada region, like me- that you got TVS on ch27 when Sandy Heath is on that frequency. Is that Sandy Heath floating over the top?

I managed to pick up Meridian, Anglia and London ITV in the mid 1990s, and I am in the East Midlands (Waltham), with a bit of manual tuning after I heard some Kent and London stations on my radio.

It could be tropspheric reception can be very directional at times other times you can receive many transmitters at the same time in those circumstances you just see a mess on the screen.
