I am an American. I am presently working for my church overseas. I am also a former staff sergeant with the US Army Intelligence and Security Command. I am recording this as a formal endorsement of Congressman Ron Paul in his bid for the presidential race of 2008. As someone who has sworn an oath to protect the Constitution, I have been progressively alarmed and angered by the inexorable erosion of my rights as a citizen, as well as the rights of states, counties, and municipalities as collective bodies by the federal government. Our system of government used to ensure that the greatest amount of control over our daily lives was wielded by people to whom we had the easiest access and over whom we wielded the greatest amount of control — namely, mayors, burghers, city councilmen, etc. Below that level — and I do mean below — was the county, state, and finally the federal government, each wielding a decreasing level of power. Somehow in the last 150 years or so, this has been reversed, first by subterfuge, then by coercion, and finally by bald usurption. With legislators pronouncing our Constitution obsolete, the executive branch ignoring it completely, and the judicial branch at best doing nothing or at worst grossly overstepping its authority, I believe it is time to put someone in the White House who believes as I do. The United States became great because it adhered to the axiom: "that government is best that governs least." Our economy cannot survive another four years of "business as usual," and I want to elect someone who understands the economy, understands and upholds the Constitution, and consistently acts with sincerity, integrity, and honor. Ron Paul is the only candidate who fits that description. He is therefore the only candidate I am prepared to support. God bless America and Ron Paul and speed him to victory in 2008!"

Boss: "What are the marks of a sick culture?" Friday ""... High taxation is important and so is inflation of the currency and the ratio of the productive to those on the public payroll. But that's old hat; everybody knows that a country is on the skids when its income and outgo get out of balance and stay that way - even though there are always endless attempts to wish it way by legislation." Boss: "Sick cultures show a complex of symptoms as you have named . . . But a dying culture invariably exhibits personal rudeness. Bad manners. Lack of consideration for others in minor matters. A loss of politeness, of gentle manners, is more significant than a riot." Robert A. Heinlein, "Friday" 1982
the real id is the honor system "they won't do anything unless i do something wrong......................... ..right?" Do you want to be in a country that the government works on the honor system?
