Vilia by Franz Lehar from William McMains "Vintage Theatre Styles" instruction book. Organ is a Rodgers 321B. Internal speakers augmented with two channels of external speakers thru an Alesis Nanoverb. The internal camcorder mike picked up an amount of ambient noise that I'm hoping some placement of external mikes will eliminate.

  • a 321 in cleveland for 200 usd's sept. 30th 2010 craigs list. exc. cond and w/ tone cab. Amazing! I'm in columbus but no where to put it. Darn...probably gone by now? Worth checking into though. But aren't we lucky considering about any organ besides some Allens and b3's go for pennies on the original dollar.

  • @paulj0557 Hi Paul, Yes I'm still in the habit of checking all the various places folks advertise organs just out of curiosity. After acquiring my 340 I'm no longer collecting any more vintage organs (no more space and time) but I'm still a sucker for picking up various bits and pieces that would otherwise go to the dump. There is a lot of difference between the various 321/322 models but they're all capable of some pretty nice sounds if the setup is right. Thanks for the comment.

  • What is the organ next to the one that you are playing? Is there a built in or external Leslie? On the brochure, it shows that there is automatic rhythms, where is it located on this organ? It sounds great the way you are playing!

  • @patsaxon Hi Pat, Many thanks for the comments and questions. The 321B has two audio output channels, Main and Tibia. Each has a set of internal speakers but I'm also using the two external line outputs with a Nanoverb, two Rodgers amps and Allen HC-12 speaker systems. There is a third output to connect an external Leslie 710 but I prefer the sound without it. The rhythms are selected using the pistons below the top keyboard. The other organ was a Gulbransen Theatrum spinet.
