I saw Catalin Rotaru last friday playing this elegy with the Guayaquil Symphony Orchestra... it was such a beautiful performance... excellent technique and artistry...

@DomingosRibeiroBass hm. I think Streicher plays it much to slow. BUT he has his interpretation, what is really positive in my eyes.

This is terrific playing! Catalin has terrific technique and wonderful tone production; his superb musicianship makes this somewhat hokey piece a real pleasure to experience.

Can somebody please tape Catalin playing Faure's Elegy? I've never heard anybody play it like he does, and it needs to be on youtube.
