You can find ArtRage Starter Edition 2.5 @ http://www.artrage.com/artragedown.html. The version I'm using is ArtRage 1.1 and after some searching it seems it's no longer available. If you get the Starter Edition it will look different from mine. The site says "The Starter Edition of ArtRage is free to use with no time limits."

Hope you enjoy my tutorial.

  • I just purchase artrage and i cant seem to get the tracing working at all, i don't know what i'm doing wrong, but when i try to paint over the image, the image keeps moving, and won't paint.

  • Maybe you could go to their site at ambientdesign (sorry but replies won't allow links) and check out the forums, even post a help thread there. Hope you get it worked out. I've never had this happen to me but then I've got the earlier version.

  • A link here to your art shop would be fantastic Hil!

  • You can't link in your comments on youtube. And I can't be bothered redoing this movie with my link. I'll do a separate movie. Thanks pp xxxxxxx

  • Wow thats amazing i think i will get art rage it looks awsome much better than paint

  • Hi Chloe - It's a lot of fun. The newest version isn't expensive (if you live in USA that is). I've just tried the original download link @ tucows for vs 1.1 that worked a few weeks back but it's no longer available. I like 1.1 because I don't have to come to grips with layers etc in the new version.

  • Thank you putte for your comments :-)

Not sure about "Ref" in the corner or that I can do that with my version - I'm using ArtRage 1.1. Any more tips on how to do that would be great. Thanks.

  • Nice demo. good tips. One tip: you don't need to open paint with the picture and swith back and forth. Add a "Ref" in the corner with the picture. saves time.
