Elaine, he was tickled to death at this video, he went around telling everybody about you guys coming up to the mine and how nice you all really were. thank you so much for a wondeful song and video. this was one of the songs played at his funeral. He really loved you guys and your music

I love this song and the Roys! TO THE ROYS -- THANK YOU for creating such a great song and video! It not only gives credit where credit is more than due, but can also educate others about coal and the miner's hard work to keep our lights burning and much more. I am proud that my father was a coal miner. I have lived in the city for many years now, and am still amazed at the people in the city that are so completely clueless.

I am not sure which miner he was but all of the miners we met that day touched our hearts. At every show we talk about our video and how touched we were by the men and women we met that day at the mine. We are honored to represent every miner that dedicates their lives to bettering ours. my husband worked in that mine. he is in the video. in june of last year he took a job for a different company. he got killed in those mines in august. i watch this video everyday to remind me that he died doing what he was so proud of. he kissed me and the kids every morning before he left and told us how much he loved us. i sure do miss my coal minin' man.
