@essentialeugene yeah a lot of the high end, or gamer cases have them at the bottom. since the power supply isnt taking in extra heat from the components, it remains cool thus extending the life of your power supply. heat and dust are a main problem for computers, they can reduce to life span of the components.

A guy at Fry's Electronics told me that they are now putting power supplies at the bottom of the case instead of the top. They are doing that for better circulation.
