This is neat to see. I actually remember a different "making-of" promo that showed a lot more of Kurt Russell attempting to make the full-court shot.

@MikeAM78 John Carpenter just can't write sequels because they end up the same as the first.
Halloween 2 has the same plot as the first movie.

@Magnolia296 Yeah, Carpenter later admitted that he and Kurt got a little too wrapped up in nostalgia for the original film and kind of lost sight of making sure it more of a new adventure than a rehash. And as usual, the studio also slashed his budget at the last minute, which I'm sure didn't help at all.

I love this movie but think that the storyline could have been more original. They copied 80% from original Escape From New York. For example Snake is given a mission in LA which has been turned into a prison just like in the original, he`s injected with something that will kill him if he tries to abscond just like in the original, he faces conflict in an arena just like...
Anyway Kurt Russel looked awesome. Valeria Golino's character deserved much more screen time. Her Taslima was interesting

Despite the poor quality, it's actually pretty good. They should've put this on the DVD!
