Deere 653A row crop header in action in soybeans spaced 30 inches. This is a great machine but you lose money planting beans in 30 inch rows. Beans should be planted in 7.5 inch rows. Here is a link to a video of Deere 9600 in 7.5 inch rows. There are 4 rows in the same space where Phil plants only 1 row:
