Many aircraft, including most military aircraft, DO have reduntant hydraulic systems, but many lines are often routed together by necessity. An aircraft can only be so reduntant... until it just weighs too much to be effective.

Thank God, you would think Airbus would have learned something from the DC-10 fiasco at Souix City. Put hydraulic fuses in the system.

unfortunately as it stands the aircraft with flares would not be allowed near most airports due to the extreme fire risk.
