Gillette's 2010 Fusion ProGlide marketing disagrees with their own 1972 Trac II campaign.

Guess they can tell us anything and we'll still buy.

Waiting for the new 16 blade razor before I switch...

  • I see where you were going with this but people, opinions, & information change. Not to mention department heads & the people coming up with this stuff :l

  • @TwilightFadez ... I agree. Just fascinating how things can do a complete 180 in marketing.

  • Yes, absolutely ridiculous especially since the "leading brand" doing the tugging in the ProGlide commercial is a Mach 3...because tugging with an extra blade was aupposed to ne what made it better...RIDICULOUS.

P.S. I use a Merkur 1904/06 & an 11c now but the ProGlide is an excellent razor, but cartridges are FAR too expensive. More fun with a double edge too.

  • real man shave with an AXE!!!

  • @tocotron1c like gimli? :D

  • @tocotron1c Real men don't shave.

  • There's no contradition at all. Those razors have 2 different approahces to shaving. Trac/Sensor were indeed designed to pull out and than cut. While Mach 3 and especially Fusion range razors are designed to cut closer due to a higher number of blades and sharper angle. Not to mention those blades are sharper themselves.

  • @tocotron1c no real men shave with a lawn mower!!!

  • MY EJ89L double edge razor beats both of these....

  • @tocotron1c an axe takes to long time..... so I use a motorsaw!!!!

  • Yup. When crunchy peanut butter doesn't sell switch to smooth.
