i own a 2009 rabbit and already put in 73,854 (AGRESSIVELY ADDED) MILES and let me tell you it runs like new. spacious, smooth, fast, economical, compact, comfortable, and safe just to name a few HIGHS. gas prices, annoying hondas, bird shits, and my wife are the LOWS. VW Satisfies. FAHRVERNUGEN!

lol wut? No Rabbit has the dsg tranny. But I did have the '08 Rabbit, I loved it at the time, deff classy and comfortable, PLUS, I'm glad I got the year they decided to give the power increase. It's a great car...but I love my current '06 GTI more! XD

This is a bullshit review. Actully it is the worst review ever. Audi and Volkswagen use the same parts. It's called vag cars for a reason Audi Volkswagen group... Dsg is available here in europe on 2.0fsi as optional extra and it WAS offered in the 1.6fsi, infact 1.6fsi all the way upto the r32 it was offered as optional extra ( in Europe) and how could this tosser compare a vdub to them shit boxes like Honda ect...this guy was bias and the golf ( rabbit) rules!!

You did not mention anything about fuel economy, build quality, acceleration, braking, exhaust note, different 2 dr/4 dr trim. --- this is all people care about. Not the fucking name or how it compares to a BMW or Audi lol.

im 14 and today i got my first car, a 2008 vw rabbit s and ive owned the care for 12 hours, 9 of which have been spent driving it hard with my dad on back roads, and i have not noticed any body role as mentioned, oranything cheapo, even the shifter knob, which on most cars is pretty cheapo is perfect and sturdy

I own both an 07 Rabbit & the new version, a 2010 Golf and neither has ever caused me a single problem whatsoever. What are these "nagging common issues" the narrator describes? The MkV does not suffer from those electronic gremlins of VW's dark past. The 2.5 is a solid motor and never lets you down. Also, he says for 2008 the DSG is available in this car. That is a complete lie. The DSG has never been offered in this car. Do your damn homework!!!!!
