Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg has declared April 29 Duke Ellington Day in honor of the 110th anniversary of the jazz legends birth. To commemorate his life, The Islands Of The Bahamas sponsored a special run of the last surviving 1939 A Train, made famous by Duke Ellingtons signature tune Take the A Train.
Paul Ellington and the Duke Ellington Orchestra performed the iconic song on the mezzanine at 125th Street and St. Nicholas, then boarded the historic train as it traveled out to JFK in regular service.
wonderful music and cool location, i like "Parker's Mood" and the sound of the
"Ellington Band".

This is some sad shit, and Duke must be rolling in his grave right now.
Sax section sound like they rehearsed under Kenny G, also note the dude with the green trumpet. WTF?
I think I'll go listen to some Justin Bieber.
