What an excellent interpretation of such a simple melody. I'd love to hear your take on"Go tell aunt Rhody".
How are your strings tuned, what kind of strings are you using, and where is your instrument from?

I'm using the DD-A-A tuning (the 1st string is doubled up). The instrument was made for me by Dave Sewell, an instrument maker in Baltimore. :-)

Is that how your supposed to play that instrument?

It's one way. The more traditional way is to use a piece of dowel to fret the strings and pluck them with a goose feather. I prefer to use fingering - and you'll see both styles on YouTube. :-)

I don't think I have cash (or time) to add one of those to my collection - not yet, at any rate! :-)
