  • would using a slip stitch make less of a "groove", and by going around one way then another, rather then one way when doing the granny square would prevent the bowl shape and help all the squares look more similar?

  • @Danibluebug if you want to attach the grannies with less of a bump in between the squares then yes the slip stitch would make it appear more smooth ....I have seen some people turn there grannies when they do them....if you like they way that makes the granny look then you can do it that way....cathy@mikeys helpdesk :)

  • what is wrong??? i can't see the video :(

  • @13141508si not sure i can see the video ok....chanel@mikeys helpdesk

  • Did you put right sides together?

  • @Chrissyart the easiest way to attach the grannies is to place all your grannies right side up on a table and then pinch the bottom and the top of the squares together and stitch chanel @ mikeys helpdesk :)

  • thanks. this is super helpful. you explain everything very well!!!

  • do I have to have my individual squares the same colors as the yarn I use to assemble the blanket? U mentioned that if the borders of the squares aren't the same color, then the blanket wont look quite right...I am doing light pale purple for my entire square and then am going to do some squares in a tan color...what should I use for attatching the colors? should I put the tan color around the border of my purple squares so it looks right?

  • Hi Mickey where is the video to make the squares??can you send me the link???thanks

  • All my squares are solid (not the granny square) will these methods work to connect my squares together or is there a different method to do that??? I did my squares in the single rib stitch
