hi, could you explain why some DS women complain about not being in rap videos while complaining about how it makes wmn sexual objects.

I don't get Y there's a big need for external verification of beauty. Whats worse is that there are artists who do put classy DS BW in their videos but they aren't supported to the extent as those who only put LS wmn in.

surely reaffirming black femininity and worth in western society is more important than being sexually desirable.

I'm a caramel girl who was severally bullied in school by dark skinned girls. So it really goes both ways and no one is innocent in this issue. I do agree that we need to stop this colorism issue. It's so stupid.

I'm caramel skinned too,I tend to just consider myself dark just so I don't poeple confuse me. I also had real long relaxed hair, but I just recently choped it to a short cut. Now folks are tripping because it is curly and not nappy.

I wish our people would accept that we have all of the colors and textures of hair. It's all good!
