Интересно, а при жесткой посадке при десантировании пушка не погнется?

It is an interesting system, and makes me again wish the decision had not been made to cancel the M8 Armored Gun System just as it was weeks away from being fielded by 3/73rd Armor and 2nd Armored Cav. Especially since the company has been playing around with a version mounting a 120mm.

It is NOT basic. It has better computer fire control than many other Russian vehicles. It is stable enough to fire while on the water. Its crew's don't mind it because it is fairly roomy and they get color computer displays and the recoil system and suspension are so well designed that you don't feel recoil as much as in MBTs. It has hydropneumatic variable-height suspension. It is meant for elite Airborne troops, not mass usage. So nothing cheap or nasty there...

it is an option on the sprut, and being considered very seriously. the reason its not on it now is, yes, it is expensive, and because those systems are modular and are installed based on some kind of perceived priority. I watched a documentary on the thing and it said that it is capable of taking active defense systems.

No, its really not...
Despite being classified as such by Russia, the Sprut-SD is actually a light tank
-
yeahhhh...It's great antitank

It's designed for a air cavalry and paratroop units.
-
they don't install cos it's heavy and will not help to light tank to survive.

Ты классный мужик жаль что заблокирован.
And to conclude everything - don't forget it's AIR-DROPPABLE! So that's the main reason it's got such a (relatively) thin armor (weight limit is just 19 metric tons). But still, it's immune to Bradley and other IFV's main armaments (it's stated that from the frontal arc it's armor can defeat 30mm APFSDS rounds).
