It makes a change to do a 'proper' wildlife pond. I like doing these.

Fab looking job, I've started doing some voluntery work with the BTCV but nothing as exciting as this.

If I had time and no money needs, I would like to do some voluntary work for some conservation groups. Unless I win the lottery, that's a long way off though.

I have seen another good pond by my dear friend pondguru. It would look much better if lotus & water lilies grow in it as time passes. Some good rocks can also win the hearts. But its already a good work by you.

The plan is to put a few more plants in and around in the Spring, once the water settles.

We're fencing it off this week to keep dogs out as they go through it and stir up the clay base. It was never clear previously but should stay clear once it is fenced off and given time to settle. If constantly disturbed it would be no use to anything.
