Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog - So They Say

Lyrics:

So they say Captain Hammers become a crusader
Political. Hes cleaning up the streets (about time)
So they say that its real love
So romantic (He signed this)

So they say well have blankets and beds
We can open by Monday thanks to you (Thanks to me)

Its the perfect story
So they say a hero leading the way
Hammers called to glory
Lets all be our best (Next up, whos gay?)

So they say he saved her life
They say she works with the homeless
And doesnt eat meat
We have a problem with her (This is his hair)

This is so nice
I just might sleep with the same girl twice
They say its better the second time
They say you get to do the weird stuff (we do the weird stuff)

This is perfect for me so they say
I guess hes pretty ok
After years of stormy
Sailing have I finally found the bay?

( Hes still not picking up)

Theres no happy ending
So they say, not for me anyway
Should I stop pretending

Horrible: stop pretending, Take the chance to build a brand new day
Penny: Or is this a brand new day

This is his dry cleaning bill
Four sweater vests

  • I wonder how much they paid the guy that sang "about time"

  • The image of Captain Hammer in a sweater vest is so great.

  • I love the part where NPH says "Not for me anyway..." It's so sad

  • @rexrocks471518 He might be one of those guys who works behind the scenes, and they stuck him on the screen for a bit. Otherwise, he probably became a millionaire after they paid him! :P

  • @vhulk501 I think the statement is that no matter what good is going on in the world, we're more interested in the personal lives of the rich and famous. You know, sort of like, superhero helping the homeless isn't as interesting as NPH outting himself.

  • @Ghostlyghostgamer That's David Fury, one of the writers of Buffy. The other news anchor is Marti Noxon, Buffy's executive producer. I think the "Next up, who's gay!" line is more about taking a shot at half-assed journalism.

  • We do the weird stuff!

  • I love the guy who sings "Next up, who's gay!" because they probably gave him that one line so that NPH would have something to lol over after.

  • @vhulk501 it's a bit of irony - the news people are saying how awesome Captain Hammer is and how's he's inspiring us to "be our best". Immediately following that is the "Who's Gay?" witch-hunt segment, showing they're not really interested in being their best anyways.

Also, NPH (Dr Horrible) is gay and there's a shot of him immediately afterwards.

  • The 'next up, who's gay?' part really confuses the hell out of me.
