@WAIATA4U 31 went to CBS.

@the60sKid Those were added just a few years ago to look like the old ones. Since they have a newer Safeway close by, they should tear that one down and rebuild the theater!

Capt. Mitch was Captain Delta when I was a kid, doing cartoon intros on KOVR Channel 13 in Sacramento. I met him in the mid-1960's when he appeared at a Van's Market on Mission Avenue at Whitney Avenue.

@Lipenstein but is he still pickled?

Mitch Agruss is alive and well doing Dinner Theatre show productions and minor roles, in-house, at Garbou's and B Street theatres in Sacramento, CA.

Love the old promos

That's nice. And I know lots of things -- like 2 & 2 are 4 and Carson City is the capital of Nevada...

Back in the early 80's, I lived in San Jose, and watched TV 40...All of a sudden, Speed Racer, Flipper, and Gentle Ben comes to mind.
Whatever happened to Channel 31? That channel had some good programming, too. Unfortunately, if you lived in San Jose as I had, 31 wasn't available.
I remember Pachinko palace and the Pop Shoppe. And Farrells Ice Cream Parlors and Straw Hat Pizza.

I used to see Marine Boy on KBHK 44 in
'71...that was always my favorite of the
Japanese cartoons.
