I am from Western PA. No one wants to sue him for defamation because they would have to prove he is wrong, which would be impossible to do, because he is right. Sad but true. I know of more than one person who told me with no shame that they will not vote for "a n*****"... pitiful. People of WesternPA haven't grown out of that mentallity, for some reason it just stuck. Luckily, I have a mind of my own and escaped this rediculous ideology.

Murtha is a jerk, but he's right about western Pa. Of course, not everyone in that area is a racist, but you have some very uneducated people that don't understand the issues and will actually vote against their interests because they can't imagine themselves voting for a black person. Again, it's not everyone, just the uneducated people. It's the most uneducated people who tend to be racist.

I respect your opinion and I am glad we can agree in a friendly way to disagree. Most people that have challenged me on any opinion resort to name calling and swearing when I seem to make a good point. It's nice to see someone who is actually intelligent arguing their point as well (Republican OR Democrat), even if it is contrary to my own.
