The mission of NHS (National Health Service) County Durham & Darlington, who employs 400 staff to commission services on behalf of 600,000 people in the North of England UK, is "to deliver excellence today for a healthier tomorrow." To achieve their mission, they wanted to understand: was their culture supporting or hindering their ability to achieve their vision of improving the health status of their population? Through an organizational culture initiative that began in April of 2009, they began to explore their culture and address short, mid and long term opportunities to align their employees with their strategies. They adopted the Denison Model as a key framework to organize all interventions and to align the development strategy within the organization. In an organization that is constantly under the political spot light and open to change, Denison has provided a consistent framework to underpin the changing demands placed upon it.

Now, however, the NHS faces its biggest 'restructuring' to date. The new push in accountability for the organization is squarely focused on achieving the desired outcomes for patients rather than on process. The NHS of the future has been given a challenge to focus on the customer. Learn more about how NHS has aligned their strategy and people and how they are meeting this challenge in this engaging webinar.
