I've been a huge Charlie Daniels fan for years. I love his old stuff. Like Trudy. I got a bit disappointed with him when he started pushing his Christian ideals. I am a a Christian. And not just a goin' to church one. I do it on my own. Just like Charlie used to do it as a musician. He needs to quit preaching. He should just be believing. And keep giving us his great music.

charlie daniels gets no where near the credit he deserves for being one of the greatest artists of all time.. this song is just one of many examples of just how awesome he is.

@Harryn58 You are correct ... I've edited the info above. Trudy actually was originally released on Charlie's debut album, but this version is the Fire on the Mountain one.

This is NOT the version from the "Charlie Daniels" album. This is the classic version from "Fire On The Mountain" - 1974.
