  • I used to listen to metalcore/hardcore a few years back in high school. Then become utterly bored and tired of the genre. So I walked away from metal entirely. Slowly....I have begin discovering metal bands that are AMAZING. Vektor is helping me rediscover my love for metal music. I still hate metalcore though. :/

  • @jfitz1431 Vektor IS amazing! My favorite modern metal band by far. If you want more amazing metal music that sounds a little like this, you may want to check out "From This Day Forward" from Obliveon.

  • And they say hip hop is bad?????? Wow....i feel like the devil just tried to pull my soul out through my ears.....ill keep listening though...im trying to broaden my horizon in music

  • @Ninetrey1993 Good for you, I'm trying to do the same thing actually. Classical, Jazz, Blues Rock, Progressive Rock etc. is all music I always liked a few bands/musicians from, but never checked out that much. Good thing that you check Vektor out first, they are amazing songwriters and musicians, check out the song "Accelerating Universe", songwriting wise it's one of the best metal songs ever written imo. But.. I suggest that you only check that out if you are into "good song writing" music.

  • @philiphassialis Wouldn't it be cool if they released an EP called "Are you happy now?", that features some clean vocalist, just to prove how much better David DiSanto's vocals suit this band? Trust me, Coroner or Watchtower vocals don't suit this band at all, well... maybe the Watchtower vocals, but I prefer these crazy shreek vocals over clean vocals anytime a day, and so does Vektor, and that is more importent then all our opinions combined together.

  • Fucking Amazing, honestly these guys must of been hiding, waiting to blow us all away, good on them some of the best stuff I have heard from any band for a long, time.. Every part is good, you can't single out the vocals otherwise it can't be classified to what it is, keep at it your shit is amazing!

    \m/ VEKTOR!

  • @Ninetrey1993 Hey man some of us like that kind of shit, haha. It's nice you're atleast giving it a chance. I used to be a big hater on hip hop and only realized a little while ago there is good music in every genre, you just have to look.

  • @MetalliMagic Ehhh, the "blackened" aspect should be used lightly with this band. They are not like Skeletonwitch. The influence is no doubt there, but they have their own thing here.

  • Thrasher than Watchtower, but still progressive!! NICE!

  • This song ended too soon :(

  • @jfitz1431 I used to like metalcore and deathcore when I was younger, I guess I grew out of it, I hate those genres now. I listen to a much broader range of metal now, and though my taste has gotten alot heavier, progressive bands like this are by far my favorite. If you listen to bands like Opeth and such you can really expand your musical mind. But anyways, awesome to hear you're getting back into metal :D

  • @EverxOpeningxFlower As far as clean vocals that might sound good with Vektor's music, a combination of the vocal styles used by Joey Belladonna(Anthrax) and Jon Oliva(Savatage) would probably sound cool.

  • oh.. my.. god!

  • @Ninetrey1993 i did not noticed, that hip-hop is bad. It is like with every genre, you have to search for quality. And maybe ignore the radio....

  • @EverxOpeningxFlower cool thanks I'll check them out!
