Farsi...Neapolitan...French? Where is Matteo Azchirvani from!?! [VIDEO]
You may find him speaking English, Farsi, French, German, Arabic or one of many Italian dialects. In fact, there were days on-set when no one was exactly sure what language Matteo was speaking. The only certain thing was that Jaroslav, Matteo's trigger-happy character in AmeriQua, does not shy from confrontation. Cut him in line at the coffee machine, and he'll let a torrent of Neapolitan dialect rush forth while running his thumb across his throat. Enter his trailer without knocking, and he'll run you out like a bulldog. I'm not sure where all aggression comes from...probably the 'stache.

That Matteo was always so completely in character is a testament to his acting prowess. He was quite literally always refining Jaroslav, on and off the set. His secret comedic weapon was a lingual schizofrenia that produced hilariously bastardized lines. This was done so effectively that both Americans and Italians viewers will be glad that his lines are subtitled!

So, where's he from? Novara!
