From Samurai Speed: After over 100+ launches of 600+whp, Samurai Speed finally found the limits of the GT-R's transmission! The gearbox snapped like a twig on launch.

* We're actually HAPPY that we finally found its limits. We knew it was only a matter of time and needed to upgrade the tranny to be able to take the car to the next power level (700...800...900HP and beyond.)

It is shit because if you make a car that has so much power potential then why not make the tranny hold more power. I friend of mine had a GTR and the tranny went on it three times he finally got sick of it and got a lawyer and got his money back.

@CHUUMPASS If you run a car manufacturing company and produces one of the most formidable super sports cars in the world, you would not warranty any modifications either. Stop being so self-centered. That includes all the ignorant asswipes who floored the GT-R35 and abusing launch control before the cars are long before break-in, and then flat out lied claiming they always drove normally after tranny-failure occur. Wanna proect your investment? Drive it like a responsible, full-grown man.

@deagle67 well if you wanna be technical then an engine only really produces torque. horsepower is a translation of that torque produced. and just to be clear im not saying that all engines with the same torque produced make the same hp.

funny how 600hp breaks the gearbox but switzers cars never break and they have 700hp+ with stock gearbox :S
