#1 Ohio State vs Indiana 10/21/2006. 2 hours before the kickoff, all football players were entering to the stadium. When Block O chanted to Coach Tressel, "Hey Coach Tressel, O-H!" Coach Tressel responded to us with "I-O" motion.

  • At least our bad losses come against good teams. Nobody can associate OSU with "that team that lost to Toledo/App State/Stanford". We're that team that lost 2 straight BCS title games...saying that we were in 2 straight BCS title games insinuates that OSU has had quite a bit of success.

  • It has nothing to do with Big 10 v. SEC...Florida and LSU were simply better teams those years. A decade ago who was the better conference? The Big 10 was. Where was USC a decade ago?...they were awful. Look where FSU was 10 years ago compared to now. It's all cyclical...TOSU lost to SEC schools two years in a row and it stings, but so what. Won't be that way forever.

  • LOL Fired.

  • @rocker6666 Sorry, but this couldn't fit in my last comment. This Tressel situation is nowhere near comparable to AJ Green's situation. Tressel lied to the NCAA, lied to OSU, tried to cover up his mistake, and won't fully apologize past saying "I'm sorry that all of this happened"...which is saying "I'm sorry I was caught"...but the apologizing isn't a violation, just makes him look worse. Violating Bylaw 10.1 is a huge deal, sorry you don't see it that way and still protect a corrupt cheater.

  • @rocker6666 lmao...do a google search for "Tressel played ineligible players" and you will see many reliable sources saying otherwise. It is a slap on the wrist...he misses 5 3-hour games against cupcakes...big deal. And about impeding a federal investigation, how come the guy that told Tressel didn't get penalized or hit with a felony? Because he didn't impede...and neither would have Tressel. Sorry, but it's NCAA rules...you can either play by them or get nailed.

  • @jtook14 Yeah, actually, he could have. Impeding a federal investigation is a FELONY. As for a slap on the wrist, no, its not. AJ Green got nailed for the same thing last year and they only suspended him two games. The only reason you care wether or not the NCAA continues is because you're sick of losing every year. Even your own head coach stepped up and defended Tressel. Also, the players are not inelligible, you dumb fuck. They didnt cheat. End of story, you lose, shut the fuck up

  • @rocker6666 Wait...what? He could have gotten in worse trouble if he told your lousy administration or the NCAA about it? No way that's true. Sorry, but your self-imposed "penalties" are a slap on the wrist. I can only hope and pray that the NCAA brings down the hammer on Tressel and OSU. I can't believe that you are even supporting him by saying this isn't a big deal. And it's like beating a dead horse...knowingly playing ineligible players is having a competitive advantage on the field.

  • @jtook14 Big difference between playing Penn State every year and playing Utah. We dont lose to division 2 or MAC teams either, unlike some schools I could name.

As for Tressel, he didnt do anything because he was told not to. The tattoo shop in question was being investigated by the Feds, and he could have gotten in worse trouble. Talk about not doing research. Oh, and by the way, "cheating" would mean they would have had a competitive advantage on the field.

  • Yeah, you are so right. Your President is a joke. Really, who jokes around in a pretty serious press conference and calls out TCU of playing "the little sisters of the poor." First off, get an administration that doesn't condone cheating. Tressel is being accused of the same violations as Bruce Pearl...but we all know OSU won't do anything. Second off, since when is Bylaw 10.1 not a HUGE violation? If he told this to the NCAA the first time around, ok. But he lied to NCAA...which is huge.

  • @jtook14 I looked at your profile, moron. You're a michigan fan. As for the NCAA rulebook, this is like jaywalking. However, you little knuckleheads up north, and ESPN are blowing this way out of proportion.

  • @rocker6666 Um...you obviously don't know what my school is...nice try though. This is why OSU fans are the best...they don't know what they are talking about so they just try to trash you. Are you calling the NCAA rulebook not right? Because if you commit a major NCAA violation, you are deemed ineligible too. You can read more on the topic at sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/andy_staples/03/25/tressel.insider/ since you obviously don't do research before spouting off.
