  • Tyres were at less than 15psi. This isnt the normal Big Red track. This is straight up the face of the steep part of the dune well to the north of the actual track. It is a hell of a lot steeper than the video shows. Indeed, the main track was dead easy - we just drove sedately up it. This was just for a bit of fun.

Ha too bloody cold in the mornings, I remember we had one shower at Purni Bore but couldn't be bothered after that.

  • @A2thaMFK . Yeah yeah, thanks for all of that. I've crossed the Simpson a few times. Why didnt you have a shower while you were out there you dirty bastard ;-)

Mate just having a bit of fun on the last of 1200 sand dune's in the Simpson Desert after a 5 day crossing, that sand dune is called "big red", we all went up & over it back came back for a few fun runs before heading into Birdsville and the first hotel room & shower we'd had for the past 5 days of bush camping. And for the record we were all down around the 15psi mark.

  • You can roll over that sucker if you drop ur tyre pressure to 14-15psi. Talk about hammer your suspension for nothing.

  • I would be looking for some fuel around now... hahaha "lol cool vids

  • your kids are wonderful and the trip must have been just as awesome...one day one day...I'll be there!
