This is my favourite Leonard Cohen song. He's such an inspiration.

I've read a couple of comments here and it really saddens me. You know ? I think most people are quite used to MTV stuff. I don't really care for that.

I think, people are trying to wake up, but they don't seem to know how. We've been asleep for far too long now. We don't even know how to think, we lack the skeptic tools to archieve a consciousness that would allow us to evolve as human beings

I think that's an overly-pessimistic view of democracy. The problem in USA isn't "We have democracy but it's not working because it's degenerated into mob rule". The problem is that we don't actually *have* democracy; we have corporatocracy instead. We need to clamp down on that before we can get much in the way of actual democracy up and running.

yes true, however sermon on the mount is sort of communist and he was probably a decent human being who liked to try to heal people despite the way the church abused his name...there were a lot of messiahs during his time btw. anyways this is off topic. this is a good song.
