Vist http://www.potus08blog.com for the latest election news.

Barack's comments that are generating all of the controversy: "You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them," Obama said. "And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

  • Well its true.

  • There is a nice song now "God and Guns" this speech may have helped get that written. After three and a half years nothing has happened within Mr. Obama's regime to make any improvement for their conditions in fact things are worse now. So Mr. Obama shows his foolishness and the wisdom of the people with their God and Guns because they would never let down the American people the way this President has.

  • @Iamaguysz8 why ARE they needed? ive never needed a weapon before. and if i did then a knife would certainly suffice

  • @Maytons well then you're alright with me :)

  • Did he mention that Muslims cling to rocket launchers and hijack planes?? Oh no, youre only allowed to offend Christians.

  • And with all the comments Rick Santorum has made recently, it seems the President was right . . .

  • @nvr2late666 And why aren't they needed?

  • Idk what is wrong what he was saying sounds right to me

  • GOP gains in the 2010 midterms - a barometer for a president's popularity - are a prime example of how out of touch this is . He got creamed. You get smiles at a cocktail party on the Upper Wast Side sure but it's politically stupid and betrays the smug arrogance an out-of-touch president. I'm reminded of Manhattan critic Pauline Kael after the '84 election in which Reagan destroyed Mondale. Kael said "But I don't know a single person who voted for him (Reagan)." Reagan took 49 states.

  • Mr. President: Millions of Americans are pro-2nd Amendment and have been well before you were born. Many millions more are religious. Many millions also want illegal immigration under control as over 30% of our federal prisons house illegals and they're an immense problem on social services (Los Angeles spends $1 billion/yr on taxpayer funded illegal healthcare). As for jobs, check unemployment and crime where it's highest. Both are always highest in bastions of liberal democrats.

  • Dont understand why any Clinton would work with this president. He slashes the clintons here and all the time. Bill Clinton may have been liberal, but at least he loves America, and its foundation. Barrack despises it and if he could go back in to rewrite the condtitution, he would.
