Trailer for The Brave One. Opens September 14, 2007. Directed by Neil Jordan, stars Jodie Foster (Flightplan, Contact), Terrence Howard (Ray, Four Brothers) and Naveen Andrews ("Lost").
New York radio host Erica Bain (Foster) has a life that she loves and a fiancé she adores. All of it is taken from her when a brutal attack leaves Erica badly wounded and her fiancé (Andrews) dead. Unable to move past the tragedy, Erica begins prowling the city streets at night to track down the men she holds responsible. Her dark pursuit of justice catches the public's attention, and the city is riveted by her anonymous exploits. But with the NYPD desperate to find the culprit and a dogged police detective (Howard) hot on her trail, she must decide whether her quest for revenge is truly the right path, or if she is becoming the very thing she is trying to stop.

Absolutely brilliant Crime/Drama/Thriller - truthful storyline, great acting, very emotional scenes... Jodie Foster was amazing as always. Terrence Howard was great too.
Jodi's Erica Bain was like female version of the Punisher

I just saw this movie tonight on tv, and I was shocked when a poem I wrote at the age of 16 during a deep depression was spoken during the movie...I want to know how they got it, and what if anything I can do about it. I don't know whether I should feel excited that it was thought good enough to be part of the script, or violated because of a rough time in my life. I'm going to do some checking into this...I'm just in total shock

I love the death wish movies, but I will not state my age. I find the rampant "young = naive" mentality to be an offensive assumption.

No, I mean DEATH WISH. I noticed that you're just 19 years old so you're probably too young to know, but 1974's DEATH WISH (starring Charles Bronson) is the original urban vigilante movie. Both THE BRAVE ONE and DEATH SENTENCE were inspired by the Bronson movie. Look it up.
